Fırat (Euphrates) River, of which length is 2800 km, originates in Turkey, thereafter pass through Syria and Iraqi territory subsequently. Along with the Dicle (Tigris) River, which is also originated in Türkiye, it constitutes the fertile land of Mesopotamia where the world's earliest civilization developed. It merges with the Dicle (Tigris) River in Iraq to form the Shatt'ul-Arab and flows into the Persian Gulf.
